Recap: Baltimore vs. Boston

Sarasota, FL (Sports Network) - J.J. Hardy hit the go-ahead three-run homer in the bottom of the eighth, lifing Baltimore over Boston, 12-9, in Grapefruit League action.

Hardy finished 3-for-4 with four RBI, Wilson Betemit added a three-run blast and Adam Jones hit two homers for the Orioles.

Pedro Strop picked up the win despite allowing four hits and three runs in his one relief inning.

Jonny Gomes and Christian Vazquez each belted a two-run shot, while Will Middlebrooks colledted three hits and drove in a pair of runs for the Red Sox.

Miguel Celestino was charged in defeat for three runs on four hits in the deciding frame.

Regan Smith substituted for Kyle Larson in the No. 42 Chip Ganassi Racing Chevrolet in Sunday's Sprint Cup Series race at Martinsville Speedway after Larson was sidelined due to additional medical tests following his fainting spell on Saturday.
