Recap: Seattle vs. Kansas City

Peoria, AZ (Sports Network) - Miguel Tejada was 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI and the Kansas City Royals defeated the Seattle Mariners, 11-6, in spring training action.

Jeff Francoeur, Jarrod Dyson and Brett Hayes also knocked in two runs apiece for the Royals, who recorded 18 hits. Eric Hosmer, Billy Butler and Elliot Johnson each had an RBI in the victory.

Royals starter Sugar Ray Marimon allowed four runs on seven hits over 4 1/3 innings.

Franklin Gutierrez went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and three RBI. Michael Morse hit a solo shot while Kyle Seager and Dustin Ackley drove in a run apiece for the Mariners.

Jeremy Bonderman got the start for Seattle, but struggled, allowing seven runs on 11 hits in 5 1/3 innings.
