Bradenton, FL (Sports Network) - Lew Ford hit a solo home run and the Baltimore Orioles downed the Pittsburgh Pirates, 6-3, in spring training.

Jason Pridie drove in a run and scored another for the Orioles, who knocked Bucs starter Kyle McPherson around for four runs and six hits in the first three innings.

Bruce Chen lasted 2 1/3 innings for Baltimore and allowed two runs -- one earned -- on one hit and two walks.

Pedro Alvarez and Jose Tabata each had an RBI in the loss.
