Recap: Pittsburgh vs. Baltimore

Bradenton, FL (Sports Network) - Chris Dickerson hit a grand slam in the first inning and the Baltimore Orioles defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates, 12-10, in spring training action.

Steve Pearce and Wilson Betemit drove in two runs apiece for the Orioles, who scored eight runs in the first inning. Nolin Reimold, Travis Ishikawa and Trayvon Robinson each knocked in a run in the victory.

Orioles starter Brian Matusz allowed five runs on nine hits over four innings.

Andrew McCutchen hit a two-run home run while Gary Sanchez went 3-for-4 and knocked in three runs for the Pirates. Pedro Alvarez and Lucas May had two RBI apiece and Neil Walker drove in a run in defeat.

Pirates starter Chris Leroux allowed eight runs -- seven earned -- and lasted just 1/3 inning.

Smith replaces Larson for Martinsville race

Regan Smith substituted for Kyle Larson in the No. 42 Chip Ganassi Racing Chevrolet in Sunday's Sprint Cup Series race at Martinsville Speedway after Larson was sidelined due to additional medical tests following his fainting spell on Saturday.
