Recap: San Diego vs. Texas

Peoria, AZ (Sports Network) - Jesus Guzman smacked a two-run home run as the San Diego Padres took a 3-1 win over the Texas Rangers in preseason action on Monday.

Chris Denorfia drove in the other run while Everth Cabrera had two hits and scored a run for the Padres. Starter Jason Marquis gave up on run on six hits with four walks and five strikeouts over six innings.

Derek Holland pitched six innings and gave up three runs on six hits with a walk and seven strikeouts and drove in the only run of the game for the Rangers. Elvis Andrus had a pair of hits, including a double.
