Recap: Texas vs. Chicago Cubs

Surprise, AZ (Sports Network) - Lance Berkman smacked a solo home run to help lead the Texas Rangers to a 3-2 Cactus League win over the Chicago Cubs.

Mitch Moreland finished with two hits and an RBI for the Rangers.

Scott Hairston hit a solo homer off Texas starter Robbie Ross in the first inning. The blast was one of four hits Ross allowed over four frames.

Cubs starter Hisanori Takahashi was tagged for three runs on five hits with two walks and four strikeouts in three innings.

Smith replaces Larson for Martinsville race

Regan Smith substituted for Kyle Larson in the No. 42 Chip Ganassi Racing Chevrolet in Sunday's Sprint Cup Series race at Martinsville Speedway after Larson was sidelined due to additional medical tests following his fainting spell on Saturday.
