Recap: Toronto vs. NY Yankees

Dunedin, FL (Sports Network) - Maicer Izturis tallied two hits, five RBI and three runs scored on Thursday, as the Toronto Blue Jays pounded the New York Yankees, 17-5, in spring training action.

Melky Cabrera finished 3-for-3 with four RBI and two runs scored, while Mark DeRosa went 3-for-3 with a solo home run, two RBI and three runs scored for the Blue Jays, who finished with 13 hits as a team.

Toronto starter Josh Johnson struck out five and allowed just one run on two hits over three frames.

Kevin Youkilis smacked a solo home run and scored twice for New York, which saw starter Jose Ramirez surrender six runs on two hits and four walks while recording just one out in the first inning.
