Recap: Detroit vs. Atlanta

Lakeland, FL (Sports Network) - Juan Francisco's sixth home run of the spring, a tie-breaking solo shot in the top of the ninth inning, lifted the Atlanta Braves to a 6-5 Grapefruit League victory over the Detroit Tigers.

Francisco finished 2-for-4 with two runs scored for Atlanta, which also received a pinch-hit, three-run homer from Ramiro Pena in the seventh that staked the club to a 5-4 lead. Detroit tied the contest in the bottom of the eighth on Danny Worth's RBI single.

Braves starter Tim Hudson yielded just one run on four hits over the first four innings, with Cory Gearrin notching a pair of scoreless frames to collect the win.

Don Kelly had a huge day for the Tigers in defeat, going 4-for-4 with a solo homer and two doubles. Torii Hunter collected two hits in three at-bats in the loss.

Shawn Hill worked five innings for Detroit and allowed two runs while scattering six hits. Brayan Villarreal was hit with the loss after serving up Francisco's homer.
