Recap: Tampa Bay vs. Detroit

Port Charlotte, FL (Sports Network) - Dixon Machado drove in three runs and Austin Jackson hit a two-run homer as the Detroit Tigers defeated the Tampa Bay Rays, 11-2, in spring training action.

Nick Castellanos was a perfect 3-for-3 and reigning American League MVP Miguel Cabrera went 2-for-4 for the Tigers.

Tigers starter Anibal Sanchez allowed four hits in three scoreless innings.

Sam Fuld hit a two-run triple in the fourth inning to account for the Rays' only scoring. Evan Longoria went 2-for-3 for the game.

Rays starter Roberto Hernandez allowed one run on two hits and walked two in 2 1/3 innings.
