Recap: Tampa Bay vs. Toronto

Port Charlotte, FL (Sports Network) - Colby Rasmus hit a grand slam and the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Tampa Bay Rays, 6-1, in spring training action.

J.A. Happ allowed just one run on four hits and walked four in 4 2/3 innings for the Blue Jays, who scored all of their runs in the eighth inning.

Yunel Escobar had an RBI triple for the Rays, who were 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position. Ryan Roberts was 2-for-4 with two doubles, but was also caught stealing twice.

Jeff Niemann got the start for the Rays and pitched six innings of two-hit shutout baseball. However, Kirby Yates blew the save by allowing all six runs, though only two were earned.
