Recap: Cincinnati vs. Kansas City

Goodyear, AZ (Sports Network) - Alex Gordon hit a solo home run as Kansas City posted an 8-1 victory over Cincinnati in spring training play on Sunday.

Christian Colon and Xavier Nady each drove in a pair of runs in the win for the Royals. Wade Davis pitched three innings and gave up just two hits with three strikeouts.

Ryan LaMarre drove in the lone run of the game for the Reds, who managed just six hits in the loss. Homer Bailey pitched just two innings and struck out five with one hit allowed.

Regan Smith substituted for Kyle Larson in the No. 42 Chip Ganassi Racing Chevrolet in Sunday's Sprint Cup Series race at Martinsville Speedway after Larson was sidelined due to additional medical tests following his fainting spell on Saturday.
