Recap: Oakland vs. Colorado

Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - Nate Freiman and Jeremy Barfield each went 2- for-3 and combined for three RBI in the Oakland Athletics' 6-5 spring-training win over the Colorado Rockies.

Freiman delivered a two-run double in the fifth inning and Barfield belted a solo home run in the fourth to pace Oakland's 12-hit attack. Barfield and Luke Montz both scored twice in the victory.

Jarrod Parker was reached for four runs on six hits over 4 1/3 innings in his final spring outing, but four Athletics relievers yielded just one run the rest of the way. Mike Ekstrom closed the game out with two scoreless frames to earn a save.

Dexter Fowler socked a pair of solo homers off Parker as part of a 3-for-5 day at the plate for Colorado, with Troy Tulowitzki and Chris Nelson adding solo blasts of their own. Tulowitzki finished 3-for-4 and also had an RBI single.

Jhoulys Chacin, set to pitch the Rockies' season opener at Milwaukee on Monday, was tagged for six runs on 10 hits over five innings of work.
