Recap: Texas vs. Colorado

Surprise, AZ (Sports Network) - Wilin Rosario belted a three-run homer to highlight a nine-run top of the sixth inning, as the Colorado Rockies beat the Texas Rangers, 14-9, in spring training play.

Reid Brignac, who tacked on a two-run homer during the big inning, had four RBI on the day. Yorvit Torrealba drove in three runs.

Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus had a hit in his 12th straight spring training game and drove in a run with a single in the fourth inning. Nelson Cruz, A.J. Pierzynski and David Murphy all hit home runs.

Tyler Chatwood gave up five hits and four runs over four innings in the start for the Rockies, while Rafael Betancourt allowed five hits and four runs in just two-thirds of an inning.

Rangers starter Nick Tepesch surrendered 12 hits and eight runs over five-plus frames.

Regan Smith substituted for Kyle Larson in the No. 42 Chip Ganassi Racing Chevrolet in Sunday's Sprint Cup Series race at Martinsville Speedway after Larson was sidelined due to additional medical tests following his fainting spell on Saturday.
