Recap: Baltimore vs. Toronto

Baltimore, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - Jose Bautista hit a three-run homer, while Colby Rasmus added a solo shot and also knocked in three to fuel Toronto's 11- 3 victory over Baltimore in the rubber match of a three-game series from Camden Yards.

Edwin Encarnacion finished 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI, with Adam Lind contributing three hits and two runs scored for the Blue Jays, who won the set and have taken five of their last eight overall.

"We figured it was a matter of time and we knew it was going to happen," Toronto manager John Gibbons said of his offense after a slow start to the season.

Mark Buehrle (3-0) tossed seven strong innings, allowing a run on five hits with two strikeouts.

Chris Davis and Matt Wieters hit solo homers, while Adam Jones drove in the other run for the Orioles, who had won three of four prior to this weekend.

Ubaldo Jimenez (0-3) was tagged for 10 hits and five runs over his 5 1/3- inning outing.

"I can't give up, I can't put my head down and feel sorry for myself. I have to keep working hard and find a way to be there," Jimenez said of his slow start.

Toronto put up two runs in the fourth to take the lead for good. Lind walked, went to third when a ballgirl snatched up a grounder inside the third-base bag from Encarnacion and scored on a groundout by Dioner Navarro. Jonathan Diaz laid down a successful squeeze bunt and Encarnacion came home.

The Jays tacked on five more in the sixth on Brett Lawrie's one-out solo blast, a two-run single from Rasmus and a two-out, two-run double from Encarnacion.

It was 11-1 for the visitors in the eighth, as Melky Cabrera and Moises Sierra stroked back-to-back singles and Bautista deposited a ball into the left-field seats.

Davis and Wieters hit back-to-back homers with two away in the eighth off Esmil Rogers to make it 11-3, but Baltimore had nothing left in the tank.

Rasmus opened the scoring with a one-out solo shot in the first, and the O's matched it in the home half as Nick Markakis singled, moved to third on a Delmon Young double and scored on a Jones groundout.

Game Notes

Six different players hit safely at least twice to pace Toronto's 17-hit attack ... Baltimore finished failed to bring in eight runners in scoring position and stranded seven, while the Jays were 4-for-12 and left eight.
