Recap: Chicago WSox vs. Cleveland

Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Moises Sierra's RBI single in the bottom of the ninth lifted the Chicago White Sox to 3-2 win over Cleveland, as the White Sox completed the three-game sweep Wednesday.

Tyler Flowers reached on a throwing error by third baseman Mike Aviles to begin the ninth. Pinch-runner Leury Garcia stole second before Marcus Semien flied out to right that enabled Garcia to advance to third.

Bryan Shaw (1-1) worked the count full to Sierra, who ripped the payoff pitch just past Lonnie Chisenhall at first to give Chicago the win.

Ronald Belisario (3-3) earned the win despite blowing his third save of the season.

"To win games you would like to talk about different people every night," White Sox manager Robin Ventura said. "It takes a whole roster to be able to do it. We went out and started getting guys, bringing them in. These guys have been a good fit so far."

The White Sox had not swept the Indians since May 25-27, 2012. Chicago starter Hector Noesi has waited even longer just to taste victory.

Noesi was once again dealt a no-decision, although he allowed just one run on five hits with five strikeouts over 7 1/3 frames. He hasn't won since May 6, 2012 when he was a member of the Seattle Mariners.

The right-hander has lost 14 decisions since his last victory and has appeared in 40 games, including Wednesday's start.

Cleveland starter T.J. House pitched well in his second major league start and was in line for the win, but the bullpen couldn't make it stand.

House was charged with one run on five hits with eight strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings.

"He pounded the zone (and) worked both sides of the plate," said Indians manager Terry Francona of House. "He was really good. On a night we are going home pretty frustrated, that was about as encouraging a start as you will see."

His night came to a close after he allowed back-to-back singles to open the seventh, but Alexei Ramirez was nabbed at second trying to advance on his base hit.

Scott Atchison came on and got Flowers to ground out softly to second which kept Adam Dunn from scoring on the play.

Semien then slapped a 3-2 slider up the middle that plated Dunn and tied the game at 1-1.

Gordon Beckham drew a one-out walk from Cody Allen in the eighth before Conor Gillaspie poked a single out to left-center that put runners at the corners.

Dayan Viciedo then walked to load the bases and Dunn skied a fly ball to left that plated Beckham for a 2-1 lead.

Cleveland had runners on first and second with two outs in the ninth when Yan Gomes, who was down to his final strike, ripped a single to right that plated Brantley to tie the game.

Earlier, Jason Giambi stroked his second homer of the season with two outs in the second to open the scoring.
