Recap: Texas vs. Cleveland

Arlington, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - David Murphy's sacrifice fly in the sixth inning proved to be the difference, as the Cleveland Indians edged the Texas Rangers, 3-2, in the third of a four-game series.

Lonnie Chisenhall had two hits and scored twice, while Ryan Raburn and Asdrubal Cabrera each drove in a run for the Indians, who have won eight of their last nine games.

Justin Masterson (4-4) gave up two runs on five hits with a pair of walks and six strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings.

"I thought early on he was really sharp," Indians manager Terry Francona said of Masterson. "When there was traffic he made pitches...and did pretty good."

Alex Rios drove in a run for the Rangers, who have lost four of six. Joe Saunders (0-2) allowed three runs -- two earned -- on seven hits in 5 1/3 innings to take the loss.

In the sixth with the score tied, Yan Gomes walked and Chisenhall singled. Shawn Tolleson then took the mound and gave up a single to Raburn that scored Gomes. Murphy followed with a sac fly for a 3-1 lead.

Texas got one back in the home half as Adrian Beltre doubled with one out and Rios followed with a triple. Masterson got Chris Gimenez to ground out, and Marc Rzepczynski induced a groundout from Leonys Martin to end the inning.

Bryan Shaw allowed a runner in the seventh and eighth, but neither of them got to second base and Cody Allen twirled a 1-2-3 ninth for his sixth save of the season.

"You always want the execution to happen, and it just didn't happen," Rangers manager Ron Washington said.

The game stayed scoreless until the fourth inning when Rios scored on a wild pitch from Masterson.

Cleveland, though, tied the game in the fifth thanks to an RBI single from Cabrera.
