Recap: Chicago WSox vs. Houston

Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Matt Dominguez homered, drove in four runs and sparked the four-run seventh inning that gave the Houston Astros an 11-7 win over the Chicago White Sox in Sunday's series finale.

Dominguez followed Chris Carter's double with a two-bagger of his own to start the seventh against Daniel Webb (5-3) to break a 7-7 tie. After Webb retired the next two batters he faced and walked Robbie Grossman intentionally, L.J. Hoes doubled in Dominguez and Marwin Gonzalez added two insurance runs with a base knock to center.

Dominguez finished a triple shy of the cycle and scored twice for Houston, which ended a three-game losing streak. Jose Altuve went yard and drove in a pair and Gonzalez went 3-for-4. All nine Astros starters had at least one hit and six players had at least two.

Neither starter factored into the decision. John Danks got torched for seven runs on 12 hits in 4 1/3 innings for the Sox, while Jarred Cosart allowed four runs -- three earned -- on seven hits through five.

White Sox star rookie Jose Abreu went 2-for-5 and drove in a run, extending his hit streak to 11 games. He has hit safely in 29 of his last 30.

The Astros struck first, jumping ahead 1-0 on Carter's first-inning sacrifice fly. Altuve added to the lead two innings later with his two-run homer to left, and Dominguez plated Carter with an RBI single for a 4-0 spread.

Chicago got three runs back over the next two innings. Adam Dunn put the home team on the board with an RBI groundout in the third, and Jon Singleton's error allowed Conor Gillaspie and Alejandro De Aza to cross in the fourth.

Dominguez's two-run blast to center highlighted a three-run fifth inning. Singleton and Carlos Corporan followed with singles to chase Danks from the game and Grossman greeted reliever Taylor Thompson with an RBI single before Hoes grounded into a double-play to end the inning.

The White Sox chipped away at their 7-3 deficit, getting a run back in the home fifth when Dayan Viciedo raced home on De Aza's grounder to Gonzalez at shortstop.

Alexei Ramirez doubled in a run in the sixth and Abreu followed with an RBI single to make it a one run game. Two Houston errors in the inning -- a poor throw by Enrique Hernandez that allowed Abreu to advance to second and a grounder that went through Altuve's legs at second base -- allowed Chicago to tie things at 7.

After Houston put up a four-spot in the top of the seventh, Tony Sipp (2-1) pitched a 1-2-3 bottom of the inning, Josh Fields struck out the side in the eighth following a walk to Adam Eaton and Chad Qualls finished it with a perfect ninth.
