Recap: Arizona vs. Colorado

Phoenix, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Corey Dickerson's solo home run in the 10th inning helped the Colorado Rockies to a 5-3 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks in the finale of a three-game set.

Dickerson hit a two-out solo homer to center in the 10th off Oliver Perez (2-2) to put the Rockies in front. The team padded their lead as Brandon Barnes got on base with a bunt, moved to second when Nolan Arenado was hit by a pitch and scored on a Wilin Rosario single.

LaTroy Hawkins struck out the side in the 10th for his 18th save of the season.

Ben Paulsen hit a two-run home run and Rosario added a solo shot for the Rockies, who had lost three straight and eight of nine coming into the game.

Franklin Morales went six innings and allowed three runs -- two earned -- on five hits with a pair of walks and strikeouts. Matt Belisle (3-6) got the final out of the ninth inning for the win.

"It wasn't easy for him today," said Rockies manager Walt Weiss of Morales. "He lived on the edge for most of the outing."

Mark Trumbo drove in two for the Diamondbacks, who had dropped five of six prior to winning the first two games of this set. Wade Miley allowed three runs on five hits with two walks and eight strikeouts over six innings.

Arizona got on the board in the first inning on a Trumbo two-run double, but Colorado answered in the second as Drew Stubbs led off with a walk and Paulsen followed with his first career home run.

In the fourth inning, the Diamondbacks loaded the bases with one out. Miley hit a grounder back to the mound that saw a force out at home. Rosario's throw to first, though, went into the outfield and Jake Lamb scored for a 3-2 lead.

Rosario atoned for the error in the sixth, though, as he blasted his 10th home run of the season to tie the game.

The Diamondbacks loaded the bases in the ninth with one out, but David Peralta hit into a 6-2 fielder's choice, and Trumbo grounded out to end the frame.

"We had a lot of opportunities," said Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson. "Other than that, we had an opportunity to win that game in the ninth inning, and we let it slip away. That's a game we should win."

Game Notes

Arizona plays two games in Cleveland starting Tuesday ... Colorado starts a three-game set in San Diego on Monday ... Before the game, the Rockies placed outfielder Carlos Gonzalez on the 15-day disabled list and recalled Paulsen from Triple-A Colorado Springs ... Arizona was just 2-for-14 with runners in scoring position and left 10 men on base.
