Recap: Colorado vs. Los Angeles

Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Corey Dickerson hit a two-run homer and knocked in four runs as the Colorado Rockies beat the Los Angeles Dodgers, 10-4, in the middle contest of a three-game set.

Tyler Matzek (6-10) allowed two runs on 11 hits while striking out six over 5 1/3 innings for the Rockies, who snapped a seven-game skid.

"He had a good tempo, he's been really battling those last few starts," Dickerson said of Matzek.

Justin Turner went 3-for-4 with two RBI for the NL West-leading Dodgers, who went 3-for-14 with runners in scoring position and stranded 10. Yasiel Puig hit a two-run homer.

Los Angeles starter Dan Haren (13-11) gave up five runs on four hits with five strikeouts over five innings.

"I thought he hung in there," Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said of Haren.

The Rockies jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first. Charlie Blackmon walked, moved to third on Josh Rutledge's single and raced home on Justin Morneau's groundout. With Drew Stubbs at the plate, Rutledge scored on a wild pitch.

Colorado tacked on another run in the second when Michael McKenry scored on DJ LeMahieu's groundout.

Dickerson's homer in the fourth, coming after Stubbs reached with a single, made it 5-0.

The Dodgers finally got on the board in the sixth. Matt Kemp and Scott Van Slyke singled before both runners moved up one base on a wild pitch. Turner followed with a two-run double to left-center field, but was thrown out at the plate on Juan Uribe's proceeding double. Los Angeles went on to load the bases for Puig, who struck out looking.

But the Rockies got both runs back in the bottom half. With the bases loaded and one out, Charlie Culberson reached on an infield single that scored Morneau. Brandon League's throwing error allowed Stubbs to score as well, before LeMahieu grounded into a double play to end the inning.

Colorado scored three more runs in the eighth, as Dickerson hit a two-run triple and McKenry added an RBI single.

Puig homered off LaTroy Hawkins in the ninth.
