Sarasota, FL ( - Nick Markakis hit a two-run single during a seven-run eighth inning that propelled Baltimore to an 8-0 Grapefruit League win over Atlanta.

Chris Davis also finished with two RBI for the Orioles, who sent 11 men to the plate in the decisive frame. Miguel Gonzalez allowed three hits and struck out five over six innings.

Gus Schlosser threw the first four frames for Atlanta and he gave up a run on one hit with three strikeouts.
