Recap: Oakland vs. Chicago Cubs

Phoenix, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Junior Lake clubbed three home runs, Luis Valbuena added two solo homers and the Chicago Cubs posted a 10-6 Cactus League victory over the Oakland Athletics.

Lake belted a three-run blast to highlight a five-run sixth inning, hit a two- run shot in the seventh and went back-to-back with Valbuena for a second time in the ninth.

Chicago starter Jason Hammel gave up two runs on eight hits and walked three in 4 2/3 innings.

Nate Freiman knocked in two runs for Oakland, while starter Jesse Chavez allowed five runs on seven hits and struck out six in 5 2/3 innings.
