Recap: Detroit vs. NY Mets

Lakeland, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Matt Clark clubbed a go-ahead two-run double in the top of the ninth inning to lift the New York Mets to a 3-2 decision over the Detroit Tigers on Saturday.

Dustin Lawley walked and Juan Centeno singled before Clark came on as a pinch- hitter and plated both runners with a double to right. The Tigers went down in order in the bottom of the ninth to seal the victory for the Mets.

Juan Lagares went 2-for-3 with a run scored for the Mets, while starter Noah Syndergaard allowed two runs on two hits and three walks in three innings.

Steve Lombardozzi's single in the second brought in both Detroit runs, while starter Drew Smyly gave up three hits across three scoreless innings.
