Lakeland, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Jeff Mathis had a two-run double as the Miami Marlins scored four times in the top of the ninth inning to pull out an 8-4 win over the Detroit Tigers in a spring training matchup.

Brian Bogusevic knocked in the go-ahead run with a double that plated Adeiny Hechavarria, who began the ninth by tripling off Joe Nathan. Juan Diaz later delivered an RBI single to cap the scoring.

Mathis had a solo homer earlier in the game and finished 4-for-5 with three RBI, with Hechavarria collecting three hits and Reed Johnson and Casey McGehee each going 2-for-3.

Miami also received a strong outing from starter Jacob Turner, who held the Tigers to a run on three hits over six innings.

Drew Smyly worked the first five innings for Detroit and was touched for three runs on a pair of homers, including a two-run blast from Giancarlo Stanton. Nathan was tagged for four runs on three hits and a walk while recording just one out.

The Tigers trailed 4-1 before drawing even on Danny Worth's three-run homer in the bottom of the eighth.
