Recap: Houston vs. Detroit

Kissimmee, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - 2013 Cy Young winner Max Scherzer hurled three scoreless innings and the Detroit Tigers blanked the Houston Astros 3-0 in spring training action.

Scherzer struck out three while yielding just a hit for Detroit, which saw six pitchers combine for a three-hit shutout. Newly acquired second baseman Ian Kinsler drove in a run.

Lucas Harrell went three innings for the Astros, allowing a run on three hits, while Robbie Grossman smacked a double for the lone extra-base hit of the afternoon for either team.
