Viera, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Danny Worth's RBI double in the eighth inning lifted the Detroit Tigers to a 2-1 win over the Washington Nationals in spring training on Sunday.

Justin Verlander struck out four in five scoreless innings for Detroit, giving up just one hit and a walk.

The Nationals scored their only run on passed ball in the sixth.

Jordan Zimmermann fanned three in four innings for Washington, giving up one run on four hits.
