Recap: NY Mets vs. Washington

Port St. Lucie, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Bryce Harper finished 2-for-4 and drove in a run as Washington shut down the Mets by a 4-0 count in both clubs' Grapefruit League finales.

Jose Lobaton and Jordan Zimmermann also knocked in a run apiece for the Nationals, while Denard Span collected three hits and scored once.

Washington hosts Detroit in America's capital on Saturday.

Zimmermann picked up the win after allowing just four hits over five scorless frames, fanning three.

Eric Young went 3-for-4 and Ike Davis contributed a pair of hits in defeat for New York, which takes on Toronto in Montreal on Friday.
