Recap: St. Louis vs. Washington

Jupiter, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Nationals and Cardinals played to a 4-4 tie in 10 innings on Saturday in a spring training game that featured two late rallies.

Destin Hood hit a three-run homer in the top of the eighth to give Washington a 4-1 lead, but St. Louis came back with a three-run rally in the bottom of the inning, tying the score on Xavier Scruggs' RBI ground-rule double and Greg Garcia's two-run single.

Patrick Wisdom doubled with two outs in the ninth inning off Washington's Clay Hensley, but was stranded at second base. Mike O'Neill reached on an error in the bottom of the 10th, but was out at second base on Scruggs' grounder.

The Nationals went down in order in the ninth and 10th innings.

Cardinals starter Michael Wacha struck out three and gave up one run in three innings. Chris Young also went three innings for Washington, allowing a run.
