Jupiter, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Jarrod Saltalamacchia homered and the Miami Marlins beat the Minnesota Twins, 3-1, in spring training play.

Saltalamacchia's solo shot in the fourth inning was his first since signing a three-year, $21 million deal with the Marlins in December.

Phil Hughes threw 2 2/3 innings in his Twins debut, giving up one run on two hits and a walk and striking out three.

Tom Koehler allowed a run on three hits and a walk in two innings for Miami.
