Recap: Boston vs. Tampa Bay

Fort Myers, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Matt Joyce finished 2-for-4 with a three- run homer as Tampa Bay trounced Boston 9-2 in Grapefruit League play.

Rays starter Matt Moore was struck in the face by a line drive but recovered to throw Xander Bogaerts out at first base to end the fourth inning.

Moore didn't return for the fifth. The Rays said he received stitches for a cut lip but did not have any concussion symptoms. Moore struck out four and held Boston hitless while allowing one run.

David DeJesus and Desmond Jennings added two RBI apiece for Tampa Bay.

Felix Doubront was rocked in the loss for 10 hits and eight runs over his 4 1/3 innings.

Dustin Pedroia and Will Middlebrooks each knocked in a run for the Red Sox.
