Jupiter, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Xavier Scruggs belted a two-run homer in the St. Louis Cardinals' 8-6 victory over the Boston Red Sox in spring training action.

Matt Adams knocked in two runs for the Cardinals, who saw starter Shelby Miller strike out five over 2 2/3 frames.

Xander Bogaerts smacked a two-run homer and Daniel Nava added a solo shot for Boston. Starter Chris Capuano allowed two runs on three hits and a walk over two innings.
