Jeff Francoeur added a pair of RBI and starter Justin Masterson scattered two hits and struck out eight over five innings for the Indians.

Luis Valbuena had a pair of doubles and an RBI for the Cubs. Travis Wood was touched for two runs on four hits while fanning eight out five frames.
