Recap: San Diego vs. Kansas City

Peoria, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Yonder Alonso went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored in the San Diego Padres' 9-5 win over the Kansas City Royals in spring training action.

Ian Kennedy allowed three runs on six hits in two frames for the Padres, while Robbie Erlin tossed five scoreless innings of relief. San Diego hit 6-for-9 with runners in scoring position.

James Shields was torched for seven runs on seven hits in four innings for Kansas City, which got solo home runs by Alex Gordon and Salvador Perez.
