Recap: Cincinnati vs. Kansas City

Goodyear, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Neftali Soto hit a three-run homer and Kristopher Negron added a two-run shot as the Cincinnati Reds took a 9-3 win over the Kansas City Royals.

Chris Heisey and Roger Bernadina each added solo blasts for the Reds, who saw starter Brett Marshall allowed two run on two hits and three walks over four innings.

Lorenzo and Jimmy Paredes drove in one run apiece for the Royals. Starter James Shields was tagged for five runs on six hits -- three homers -- over six innings.

Baltimore Orioles reliever Brian Matusz became the second major league pitcher in three days to be ejected from a game for having a foreign substance on his arm.
