Recap: Seattle vs. Colorado

Peoria, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Dustin Ackley's bases-clearing double fueled a five-run fifth inning which vaulted Seattle over Colorado, 8-1, in Cactus League action.

Ackley finished 2-for-3, while Robinson Cano added two hits and an RBI for the Mariners. Nick Franklin and Ketel Marte also drove in a run.

Ramon Ramirez picked up the win by tossing two innings of scoreless relief for Blake Beavan, who started the contest and allowed four hits and one run over three frames.

Rob Scahill was tagged for all the runs while recording only two outs in the deciding frame in defeat. Brandon Barnes hit safely twice and drove in a run for the Rockies.

James Madison has opted out of a scheduled game at Liberty on Sept. 26 to play FBS opponent SMU, but the two FCS programs have agreed to seek future scheduling opportunities.
