Mesa, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Roger Bernadina smacked a three-run homer among his three hits and the Cincinnati Reds defeated the Chicago Cubs, 8-3, in spring training action.

Kristopher Negron tallied three hits, two RBI and scored a run for the Reds. Starter Tony Cingrani allowed three runs on five hits and four walks over 4 2/3 innings.

Anthony Rizzo had three hits and a pair of RBI for Chicago. Starter Edwin Jackson yielded four runs on eight hits while striking out seven over five frames.
