Recap: Arizona vs. Chicago Cubs

Phoenix, AZ ( - Christian Villanueva had two RBI and Rubi Silva had one RBI in the top of the ninth inning to push the Chicago Cubs past the Arizona Diamondbacks, 9-8, in the Cactus League finale for both teams.

Ryan Kalish went 3-for-3 with an RBI and Arismendy Alcantara smacked a two-run home run for the Cubs, who play the Pirates in Pittsburgh on Monday in their season-opener.

Darwin Barney, Luis Valbuena and Chris Valaika picked up an RBI apiece in the win and Chicago starter Jason Hammel fanned five in four scoreless innings.

Cliff Pennington and Rudy Flores had two RBI apiece for Arizona, which hosts the San Francisco Giants on Monday in its season-opener.

Brandon Jacobs, Henry Blanco and Chris Owings each drove in a run for the Diamondbacks, who saw starter Bronson Arroyo allow two runs on six hits through 4 2/3 innings of work.
