Recap: Detroit vs. Fla Southern

Lakeland, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Daniel Fields and Eugenio Suarez each homered in the Detroit Tigers' 12-0 rout of Florida Southern College on Tuesday.

Steven Moya doubled and tripled in his two plate appearances, driving in four runs for Detroit, which reached the ALCS last season before losing in six games to eventual World Series champ Boston. Drew VerHagen got the start and pitched two perfect innings while Robbie Ray struck out five in two innings of relief to earn the win in the Tigers' Spring Training opener.

Senior Nate Carter gave up two runs in an inning of relief to take the loss for the Mocs, who used 10 pitchers in the setback.
