Recap: Rome vs. Atlanta

Rome, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Josh Elander hit a grand slam as the Braves Futures team defeated the Atlanta Braves, 13-4, on Saturday.

Elander drove in five runners, while Joseph Odom had a double and three RBI. Starter Jason Hursh surrendered two hits and struck out three batters in two innings of work.

Derrick Mitchell had two hits, while Tyler Pastornicky, Gerald Laird, and Ramiro Pena each brought in a runner for Atlanta. Starter Mike Minor did not allow any hits in his first appearance this spring across 1 1/3 innings of work.

The Braves will open the regular season in Milwaukee on Monday.
