Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - The Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday acquired outfielder Ben Revere from the Minnesota Twins in exchange for pitcher Vance Worley and pitching prospect Trevor May.

Revere played in a career-high 124 games in 2012, batting a career-best .294 with 13 doubles, six triples, 40 stolen bases and 32 RBI.

Over three seasons with Minnesota, the 24-year-old native of Atlanta is a .278 hitter who has collected 22 doubles, 11 triples, 74 stolen bases and 127 runs scored in 254 contests.

Revere also failed to commit one error in 282 chances, and holds a career .987 fielding percentage.

"Ben is an outstanding, young, controllable center fielder who fits nicely with our club," said Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro, Jr.

Worley, 25, struggled to a 6-9 record and 4.20 earned run average in 23 starts last year for the Phils. The Sacramento native put together an impressive rookie campaign in 2011, going 11-3 with a 3.01 ERA in 25 games (21 starts), fanning 119 in 131 2/3 innings.

The 6-foot-2, 230-pound right-hander has gone 18-13 with a 3.50 ERA in 53 appearances since making his MLB debut in July 2010.

May went 10-13 with a 4.87 ERA in 28 starts at Double-A Reading in 2012. In five minor league seasons, the imposing 23-year-old right-hander was 37-31 with a 3.92 ERA in 102 appearances (97 starts).
