Arlington, TX (Sports Network) - The Texas Rangers have signed pitcher Kyle McClellan to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

McClellan had spent his entire pro career with the St. Louis Cardinals' organization and has a career big league record of 19-23 with a 3.69 ERA in 261 games, including 17 starts, since 2008.

The 28-year-old right-hander was bothered by arm issues in 2012 and was 0-1 with a 5.30 ERA in just 16 games out of the St. Louis bullpen. He did not pitch after May 17 and underwent shoulder and elbow surgery on July 10.

Texas also signed pitchers Kyle Feierabend and Kevin Pucetas to minor league deals. Feierabend, a 27-year-old lefty, hasn't pitched in the majors since 2008 with Seattle, while Pucetas, a 28-year-old right-hander, has never pitched above Triple-A.
