Kansas City, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - Kansas City second baseman Omar Infante was hit the face by a Heath Bell pitch in the seventh inning of the Royals 4-2 win over the Tampa Bay Rays.

Infante was hit by an 89 mph change-up in the jaw. Infante immediately fell to the ground and left the contest bleeding from his face. He walked off the field under his own power.

Infante received stitches and will undergo an X-ray to see if his jaw is broken.
