Brooklyn, NY (Sports Network) - The Brooklyn Nets apparently aren't done stockpiling veteran players this offseason in hopes of a championship run, with the team signing free agent shooting guard Alan Anderson on Tuesday.

Anderson comes to the Nets off a season in which he averaged career bests of 10.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists over 65 games with fellow Atlantic Division member Toronto. The 30-year-old journeyman joins a crowded cast in Brooklyn, which pulled off a blockbuster trade with Boston earlier this summer to acquire Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Jason Terry and also signed forward Andrei Kirilenko and backup point guard Shaun Livingston to its revamped roster.

"We are pleased to add Alan to our roster," said Nets general manager Billy King. "He is a versatile player who will add flexibility to our rotation."

Anderson broke into the NBA as an undrafted free agent with Charlotte in 2005 and spent two years with the Bobcats before playing overseas for four seasons in various countries. He returned to the league with the Raptors in 2011-12 and averaged 9.6 points while shooting 39.3 percent from 3-point range in 17 games that season.

Over four NBA campaigns, Anderson has averaged 8.6 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 135 total games.
