Brooklyn, NY (Sports Network) - The Brooklyn Nets will hold training camp for the upcoming season at Duke University.
The Nets will conduct practices at the school from Oct. 1-5 before returning to Brooklyn.
"With many new players and a new staff, going on the road for training camp will offer a unique opportunity for our players to bond and focus solely on basketball as they prepare for the season," said Nets general manager Billy King, a Duke alum, in a statement Wednesday.
The Nets made several noteworthy moves this offseason, including the blockbuster draft night trade with Boston that sent Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Jason Terry to Brooklyn. The team also signed Andrei Kirilenko and has a new head coach in the recently retired Jason Kidd.
