New York, NY (Sports Network) - Milwaukee Bucks guard Monta Ellis and Denver Nuggets guard Ty Lawson were named the NBA Players of the Week in the Eastern and Western Conference, respectively, for the games played Feb. 25 through March 3.

Ellis averaged 24.0 points, 9.0 assists and a league-leading 5.0 steals per game to lead the Bucks to a perfect 3-0 mark on the week. In a win over Houston on Feb. 27, Ellis poured in 27 points, including an off-balance 3- pointer as time expired to lift the Bucks to victory.

Lawson knocked down a game-winner of his own in leading the Nuggets to a 3-0 mark on the week, as the University of North Carolina product buried a jumper with 0.2 seconds left to lift Denver to a 105-103 victory over Oklahoma City. Lawson finished the week with averages of 21.0 points, 7.0 assists and 1.7 steals per contest.

Other nominees for the weekly award were Atlanta's Al Horford, Chicago's Joakim Noah, Golden State's Stephen Curry, Houston's Chandler Parsons, Indiana's David West, the Los Angeles Clippers' Blake Griffin and Chris Paul, Memphis' Marc Gasol, Miami's LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, New York's Carmelo Anthony, Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, and Portland's Damian Lillard.
