Orlando, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Miami guard Dwyane Wade will be inactive for the second straight game, as the Heat face the Orlando Magic on Wednesday.
The South Florida Sun-Sentinel cited the reason as ongoing knee discomfort.
"Our message to the HEAT Nation is that this is a part of the process," said Miami head coach Erik Spoelstra through the team's Twitter account. "We're very encouraged about where he is at this part of the season."
James Jones will start for Wade, as he did in the Heat's 104-88 victory over Atlanta on Tuesday.
The 31-year-old has posted 16.7 points, 4.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists over the his first nine games of the season for the two-time defending champions.
