Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - The Minnesota Timberwolves have signed forwards Mickael Gelabale and Chris Johnson for the remainder of the season on Friday following the expiration of both players' final 10-day contracts.

Gelabale has averaged 6.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 20.6 minutes over 10 games since joining the Timberwolves on Jan. 19. The 29-year-old native of Guadeloupe had spent the past three seasons playing in Europe after a three- year stint with the Seattle SuperSonics from 2006-08.

Johnson has shot an impressive 73.3 percent from the field while averaging 9.3 points and 4.0 rebounds over seven contests. The 6-foot-11 LSU product was also initially signed by Minnesota on Jan. 19 following a 14-game tenure with the D-League's Santa Cruz Warriors, where he averaged 10.9 points and 6.1 boards per outing.

The Timberwolves also waived forward Lou Amundson on Friday. The journeyman averaged just 1.6 points and 2.4 rebounds in 20 games this season.
