New York, NY (Sports Network) - New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony and Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant have been chosen as the NBA Players of the Week for games played between Nov. 26 and Dec. 2.

Anthony, the NBA's second-leading scorer with a 26.6 points per game average this season, earned the award for the Eastern Conference after averaging a league-best 29.5 points along with 8.0 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in leading the Knicks to a 3-1 record.

Durant, who ranks one spot behind Anthony in the scoring race with an average of 26.2 points, took home Western Conference honors after averaging 25.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.5 blocks in four straight Thunder wins. The three- time NBA scoring champ also shot 60.7 percent from the field and made 6-of-13 attempts from 3-point range during the week.

Anthony's Knicks teammate, Tyson Chandler, was among those nominated along with Miami's LeBron James, Milwaukee's Larry Sanders, Golden State's David Lee, Houston's Patrick Patterson and Memphis' Mike Conley.
