New York, NY (Sports Network) - The Toronto Raptors have agreed to trade former No. 1 overall pick Andrea Bargnani to the New York Knicks, according to a report from the New York Times.

The Times said the Raptors would receive 3-point specialist Steve Novak and veteran center Marcus Camby from the Knicks, as well as a future first and second-round draft pick. The first-rounder is for the 2016 draft.

The deal is awaiting official approval from the NBA before being officially announced.

Bargnani, taken first overall by Toronto in the 2006 draft, is coming off a disappointing an injury-plagued campaign in which the 7-foot Italian averaged 12.7 points and 4.8 rebounds while playing in just 35 games. The versatile forward did average a career-best 21.4 points in 2010-11, however, and 19.5 points the following season, and is a career 36.1 percent shooter from 3-point range.

Novak, a seven-year veteran, owns a career 43.3 success rate from beyond the arc and averaged 6.6 points as a key player off the bench for the Atlantic Division champion Knicks this past season.

The 39-year-old Camby was selected second overall by the Raptors in the 1996 draft and spent the first two of his 17 NBA seasons with Toronto. He averaged just 1.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 10.4 minutes over 24 games with the Knicks in 2012-13.
