San Antonio, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - The San Antonio Spurs celebrated their fifth title in franchise history on barges that floated down the River Walk before moving to the Alamodome where a capacity crowd greeted the NBA champions.

The celebration started at the Arneson River Theater and moved through the River Center extension before finally concluding at the Convent Street Bridge. Players and coaches then addressed fans inside the Alamodome during a special ceremony.

The Spurs completed their demolition of the Miami Heat with a 104-87 Game 5 win Sunday night in San Antonio. All of their championships have come since 1999.

Tim Duncan has been part of all five titles.

When interviewed on the barge by former Spur Sean Elliott, Duncan refused to answer if he will return to the team next season, which would be his 18th in the NBA. Duncan has a $10 million player option for next season.

"It's been too long. Seven years since the last one," Duncan said of the 2007 championship. "Toward the end of my career, it's been sweet. It's a great team, a great bunch of guys, a lot of fun."

Once inside the Alamodome, Patty Mills used anecdotes to introduce coaches and players. Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker received standing ovations after being introduced to the crowd, and Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard also got a roar of approval.

"What I think we enjoyed the most is that we're all friends before we're teammates, and that's what we enjoy the most," Mills said.

Duncan thanked former Spur and Hall of Famer David Robinson, who sat in the crowd donning a championship T-shirt. The two played for San Antonio from 1997-2003.

"I give a lot of credit to David," Duncan said.

Like Miami's LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, Parker, Duncan and Ginobili were singled out as San Antonio's big three. The trio acknowledged a bond that cannot be broken.

"What we have is very special," Parker said. "Like Manu said 'we'll have a special bond for life.' Us three with coach Pop (Gregg Popovich), I don't take it for granted. I really appreciate every moment."
