Recap: Cleveland vs. Chicago

Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - Carlos Boozer had 19 points, seven rebounds and six assists as Chicago thumped Cleveland, 115-86, at Quicken Loans Arena.

Richard Hamilton posted 19 points, Nate Robinson gave 16 points and 12 assists off the bench while Luol Deng added 14 points and five boards for the Bulls, who were coming off a season-opening win at home against Sacramento. They have beaten the Cavaliers nine straight times.

"There's still some things we have to clean up here, but I was very happy with the way the team played tonight," said Chicago head coach Tom Thibodeau. "We have to be aware of the fact that this is a long season and we're just starting, but it's nice to start with wins instead of losses."

Kyrie Irving scored 15 points while Alonzo Gee and Anderson Varejao each added 12 for the Cavaliers, who opened their season on Tuesday with a win over Washington.

"That's what you call a good, old fashioned butt-whooping," said Cleveland head coach Byron Scott. "I told the guys at the beginning of the game and again at halftime that you have to come hard all the time if you want to stand a chance against the good teams, and we didn't tonight."

The Bulls led from start to finish as they got the first seven points of the game, capped by a Hamilton 3-point play less than two minutes in.

A Dion Waiters 3-pointer a few minutes later cut the Cavaliers' deficit to 11-10, but that was as close as it got. Chicago later scored nine straight points to help the team take a 32-16 lead into the second quarter.

Chicago continued to pour it on in the second stanza as the team scored the first seven points for a 23-point lead and it reached as much as 28 before a Gee 3-pointer at the buzzer made it 60-35 at the break.

Chicago's lead never fell below 22 points in the third quarter as the team took an 83-56 lead into the final stanza and cruised the rest of the way.
